Gloria Abraham was born in Auckland and educated at Point England Primary School, Glen Innes Intermediate and Glendowie College. She continued her studies as an adult student, had children and in 1994 studied at the University of Auckland College of Education and graduated with a Diploma of Teaching. She has been a teacher at Tamaki Intermediate School.
