  • Campbell states that she wrote this letter in response to a short story in Tu Tangata 34 (1987) entitled "Who am I?" Her reply is written "to encourage all our children to be proud of their noble heritage." Campbell presents a piece of prose entitled "I Know Who I am!" in which she encourages the little child to walk tall and be affirmed in an identity which has a culture "as old as the majestic mountains".
