Stephen Collins

Ngāti Raukawa

Stephen Collins was born in Melbourne, the son of Dr Darien and Win Collins. He completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne in 1985, has been a lecturer in the Department of Applied Physics at the Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne. In 2001 he was promoted to Associate Professor and Physics Coordinator in the School of Electrical Engineering at Victoria University. He is Honorary Treasurer of the Australian Optical Society. He writes scientific papers for journals and conferences.
