Ngāti Porou, Rangitāne, Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Kauwhata



Annabel Ahuriri-Driscoll has affiliations through her father’s whānau to Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Kauwhata, Rangitāne and Ngāti Kahungunu, although she was born and raised here in Ōtautahi. Ahuriri-Driscoll is passionate about the learning that can be generated from conscientious inquiry and conscious action. In the 13 years since completing her Master’s degree, she has been involved in research across a wide range of areas related to Māori advancement, including women’s reproductive health, Māori-focused programme and organisational evaluation, iwi and Māori community development, environmental health promotion, traditional Māori healing and bicultural dialogue.
