Te Kuru o te Marama Dewes 'is a native storyteller who strives to normalise Indigenous narratives and the rich woven tapestries held within Te Ao Māori. Te Kuru weaves a world where te reo is celebrated, where the experiences and perspectives of tangata whenua are centered and the value of tikanga Māori for society is recognised not only with Māori communities but throughout Aotearoa. Te Kuru is a graduate of the kōhanga reo and kura kaupapa Māori movements. He holds a Master of Arts with First Class Honours in te reo Māori from The Univerversity of Waikato, is a graduate of Te Panekiretanga o Te Reo and is a licensed translator with Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori.'
