John R. Dyall

John Dyall was born in Hamilton and was educated at Hamilton Boys High. He continued his studies at Victoria University and graduated with a B.C.A. (Hons) in Economics in 1972. He is a financial and economic analyst who has worked in a variety of fields both in the private and public sectors. He worked for the Department of Trade and Industry for two years, spent five years with the Treasury, two years as Private Secretary to the Associate Minister of Finance, and four years with the Department of Māori Affairs. He has also worked as an auditor in London. From 1980-82 he undertook contract work for Brierley Investments Ltd and Massey University. He is a member of the Proprietors of Taharoa C Block. Dyall’s writing is composed of non-fiction publications and reports.
