Win was born in Temuka and educated at Arowhenua Native School and Hukarere College, Napier. She continued her studies at Teachers’ Training College and also studied part-time at the University of Canterbury. Win taught for several years in-between raising her family. Her books have been distributed to kohanga reo, libraries and primary schools.
