Angie Harawera

Angie Harawera was educated at Taupo-nui-a-Tia College. At the age of fifteen she won the 1981 Bank of New Zealand Young Writers Award for her story "Ma, Why Did it Have to Be You" which Judge Judy Siers described as "a beautiful story. The structure is sparse and the message immediate."
