This is an autobiographical account of Howard’s life: she worked in the South Hokianga branch of the Māori Women’s Welfare League and in her local marae while fostering twelve children. This publication is comprised of a series of biographies and interviews of 50 women from over 600 nominations for the Mediawomen’s Awards conferred on Suffrage Day, 19 September 1982.
