Kaiariki takes issue with the prohibition movement and points out that the issue is not alcohol but individual’s use of it. Head writes that in the elections of 1911 the issue of prohibition was voted on and this triggered Kaiariki’s letter to Te Mareikura, the Māori newspaper.
